South Stack Studios co-founder Shalini Govil-Pai was honored with the Women of Eminence Award at the North American Film Association (NAFA) festival, held August 7–9, 2026 at the California Theatre in San Jose. Themed “Honoring Her Canvas,” this year’s festival celebrated women’s contributions to arts and culture across the South Asian diaspora.
A technology and media executive with senior leadership roles across Google TV, YouTube, and Pixar Animation Studios, Shalini was recognized alongside seven other Indian-origin women for their impact on storytelling, the arts, and the cultural life of the diaspora. The honor reflects the mission at the heart of South Stack Studios: championing authentic South Asian stories and the people who tell them.
